I try to keep the positive energy up, but it’s starting to get harder and harder. It is projected that by 2030, 2200 women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer each year. The #superfrockers (@superkombi @melisainoz @queenbzyb.fashion and @gina.beyoutiful.style ) are wearing a frock each day in October to raise money and awareness of ovarian cancer. We’ve also got a theme for each week and we’d love it if you joined in with us. This week our theme is #layered. Today I’m featuring our travelling dress. The beautiful @thecadarra . Isn’t it a glorious shade of blue? The outfits you can create with one dress are many but I’ve stayed with our layered theme. I’ve styled the dress as a sundress with narrow straps. I’m not so keen on exposing too much flesh which is why in the first pic I’ve used a pretty Italian scarf and styled it as a kimono. I’ve also looped the dress sleeves together on the inside to reduce some bulk. In the second pic I’ve gone for a more casual look with my trusty jean jacket, casual sandals and a chunky necklace. The pockets are hanging free which gives more drape at the sides. It really is a super versatile dress and would be great for travel. Day 6 Fact: Historically, around 70% of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer will find that they are already in the advanced stages of the disease. . That’s because the symptoms are vague and non-specific and because there is no early detection method available at this stage. . As part of the Frocktober ‘SuperFrockers’ Fundraising Team I am ‘frocking up’ this October to shine a light on ovarian cancer and to raise funds for much needed scientific research. .
